Screen Daily broke the exclusive on 9 Light Entertainment’s partnership with Toronto-based distributor Raven Banner Entertainment to launch a new production arm — Hangar 18 Media.

The venture will produce original content and offer production services to Canadian, US, and international projects — including co-productions filming in Canada. Raven Banner’s centralised Ontario-based production arm complements its existing Western company, Berserker Entertainment (co-producers of Nick Damici’s The Stakelander).
Hangar 18 Media’s first production was The Booker — a documentary feature about a Canadian professional wrestler, shot across Canada, Mexico, and the US, directed by Raven Banner’s Michael Paszt and produced by Patriki and Bruno Marino. The joint slate at the time included Leo Scherman’s Trench 11, Peter Ricq’s Dead Shack, David Hyde’s Stegman Is Dead, Lowell Dean’s Supergrid, and Justin McConnell’s Lifechanger.
