Our Story
9 Light Entertainment Inc. (9LE) was founded by cinematographer and producer Pasha Patriki to develop and produce internationally-oriented feature films with a focus on genre-driven storytelling that travels across borders. The company operates in the $2-5M budget range, producing content that connects with audiences worldwide through festival premieres, theatrical releases, and global streaming platforms.
9LE operates alongside two sister entities that round out a full production-to-delivery ecosystem. Hangar 18 Media, a joint venture with Raven Banner Entertainment established in 2017, develops and produces genre features. PurpleDOG Post Production (est. 2009) is a boutique Toronto post-production facility with two 4K colour suites and two mix stages, known for servicing independent Canadian and international productions.
